Yesterday we shot a listing for the Cameron Team at Seacoast Realty. This custom built craftsman style home is located in the gated water front community of The Bluffs on The Cape Fear in Brunswick County and minutes to area beaches, shopping and downtown Wilmington. Extensive trim and wood work are throughout this 2900-3000 Sq Ft, 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath home. The Onslow Bay 27 XS is a redesign of the 23 TE that considers the needs of the family as well as the avid offshore fisherman. It has a one level deck with a molded in wrap around seat in the bow. Underneath the seats is dry storage. Below deck is 1240 qts of insulated storage.

The 30 gallon transom livewell is standard, but a leaning post livewell can be installed as an option. There are 2 consoles available with the 27 XS. The Keywest console is standard and has a front entry door with optional side rodholders. Also available is the new wider console that also has a front entry door.  It is wide enough that dual 12" screens can be added in the electronics area. 

Standard fuel is 208 gallons.  If the console has a step down added, the fuel capacity is 165 gallons. The hull is the same as the 23 TE, which is a proven tournament winner that features a 24 degree deadrise and a large bow flare for a smooth dry ride.

Explaining it a bit better, you'll need a web-enabled phone. That's becoming much more common these days. There will be even more soon, as the cell providers are upgrading their networks and offering web access at lower rates. Once you have the software on the phone, you can shoot a picture of these qr codes wherever you see them. They are appearing in print ads, on brochures and many other places. When you scan one, you are taken to the web page the marketer wants you to see. Of course, it will be optimized for viewing on a cell phone.

A retail example is Ralph Lauren's use of qr codes to direct clothing buyers to a site optimized for taking clothing orders from cell phones. That's fun, but how can we use this tool in real estate? Follow through to the next page to see how these codes are already being used in real estate.

We're not looking at the future here. These are real companies doing innovative marketing with qr codes.

QR Code Lawn Signs - The beauty of these yard signs is the "cool factor" and the ease with which a prospect can get to a website with color photos and full detail information about a listing. But, there's an added benefit as well. You don't need to post the sign at the home. You could place one of these qr code image signs anywhere. Perhaps there is a local home show, and there is a booth for swimming pools. You place one of these near that booth. Your listing gets traffic!

Put on your marketing cap and think about the potential here. The number of phones that are capable of using the codes will jump dramatically in the next year or so. Get your plan together now, and you could be seeing targeted traffic to your custom listing sites from these codes. Remember, you can have a code for your personal website as well, placing it on your business cards and in other advertisements.

Yesterday we shot a great property on Figure 8 Island, NC. This was a very unique property because it has beautiful sound views throughout the intire house and there is a observation deck on the roof of the house where you have great ocean views as well. This property is listed by Hardee, Hunt, & Williams.
